I must get more sleep. My tiredness is manifesting itself in my dreams. Last night, I dreamt that I was nodding off while fly fishing in a stream. The realization that a huge rainbow trout (not unlike one I caught the other day, in my wakened life) was crossing the stream to take my fly brought me to attention. Of course, just as the dream was getting good, my daughter woke me up. It was much nicer being woken by the dream trout.
As I head to bed, then, I share this David Gilmour song, “So far Away.” In the lyrics, Gilmour pleads, “Oh, Sleep. Come on me soon.” Beautiful song.

Hope you got a good night’s rest! I don’t think I’ve ever experienced sleep while fly fishing but the thought of it has some interesting implications. And thanks for sharing the Gilmour song. I’ve long been a fan, and just a few days ago revisited the album with this song. For me, “No Way” has always been the tour de force on this collection of songs, but “So Far Away’ has always been attractive to me, if not to the point of focusing on the lyrics. Now I’m going back to the poetry of it. Thanks!

Yes, it is really a unique album. I never go too long without a good listen. As for sleep, I’m still working on it. Better rest up before I hit some water.
